Vietnam, or the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, is a country in the Indochinese basin in South East Asia. It is a nation with a rich history.
It was once part of the Chinese and then the French empires and was unified in 1975 under rule of the Vietnamese Communist Party. Vietnam is a huge producer of commodities like rice, fish and garments and has the second fastest growing economy in the world after China. In Year 9 history and geography extension at T.A.S. we have been studying Vietnam to gain more of an insight into other cultures.
We were all given a specific topic to do with Vietnam and we proceeded to find important information about Vietnamese culture, geography and Vietnamese history.
